Where there's SMOKE..there's a SEXY Lady! (EASY Day/Night Smokey Eye)

Hello My Little Ponies!

This post is all about the sexy mystery of  the Smokey Eye!
I hope through my blogs and videos that women everywhere feel they can make any look off the runway wearable in their every day lives.

The Smokey is the classic Bad Girl look.
It can be high fashion, red carpet ready..sexy, demur, or all out daring look for a night on the town!

Creating your smokey eye is easy, here are a few quick tips::

1) Concentrate the colour on lid and lash lines
2) Blend, Blend, Blend that crease!
3) Apply 3 coats or mascara and/or falsies
4) Use tape to keep it neat or concealer to clean up mistakes.. OR keep it sexy and smudgy with your bad self!!!
MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN!!!!

If you're nervous about wearing this look, try it with a light wash of a dark shimmery shade just on the lid (not into the crease) and lower lash line. This will give you the opportunity to build up the colour to your liking.
Pair it with loads of mascara and a nude lip (or in my case HOT PINK CANDY YUM YUM! LOL!!!!).

And now for the BOLD...

Go as dark as possible and play with the shape of your eye, bring the color up past the crease and smudge that baby out!

Experiment with colour- try various shades of blues, greens, grays, and smokey purples.
Bronzed, gold, and orange smokies are HOT for Summer and Fall.
Pair it with a neon pink or red lip, or go nude and let the focus be on the eyes.

For that glossy smokey that is the RAGE on the runway, put a dab of gloss or Vaseline over the lid and let it work it's magic! Or add a bit of hematite colour glitter for that POP!

How to wear this look::

Keep a gloss handy, and choose the lip that best suits your personality.

Everything from jeans and a tee shirt (with a nice studded jacket, hello!), a chic-sexy gown, or that lingerie you've kept tucked away on that plush pink hanger in the back of your closest would ROCK with this eye!

This is a look you can dress up or down, it's sexy on it's own so you don't need to OD with sexy clothes (then you'll look a little  "Lady of the Nightish" )!

Try the lighter smokey in the day and build up the intensity for an evening look.

I hope you've enjoyed this post, please comment and leave your tips, tricks, and favorite products!!!

FASH ALERT!!! Spring 2013 Own the ORANGE! (feat. Siren by Revlon)

Mint and Coral are EVERYWHERE this season!!!

This is one trend that I am excited to see everyone try because coral is a color that is UNIVERSALLY flattering on women of ALL skintones.

It does a great job of brightening up the face with a fun, youthful glow.

There are an array of corals to try with a great variation in texture and undertones.
You've got your pinky corals, your vibrant red corals and my FAVORITE - The ORANGES!!!

True orangey colors work best on all skintones. Caramel and Mahogany ton deep sun-kissed glow.

Fairer skinned women will love that it brightens the face, especially in the early Spring (aka post-winter pastey season!!!)

This color is great all year, think of it as the new Red!

I recommend Revlon's "Siren". This color is a no-brainer... Siren is inexpensive, comes in a fabulous creamy formula, has amzing color payoff, and looks great on EVERYONE!!!

Diva Tip No. 001 **Whenever you are going to try something new in lipstick, try a drugstore brand, and if you like it look for the High-End Dupe! Look SO FASH and be Money Savvy at the same time!**

**HOW TO WEAR THIS LOOK::I always suggest trying the basics with any new lipstick.

Nude with Lots of Lashes, Pinup, Smokey, or a Pop of Color.

For this lip I like a naked eye with lots of lashes, and a pop of Mint shadow on the bottom lashline.

As for the BOLD approach, let's go for a full on navy/sapphire blue smokey eyes is PERFECT with this look.

A green or bronzed smokey eye would also be GORGEOUS with this lip color!

I've had several of my Little Ponies try this amazing Coral Lip and LOVE IT!

Happy Spring Ladies!

Vampire Diaries - The Vamped Red Lip (HOW TO)

I'm a huge fan of Old Hollywood Sexy.

Nothing oozes glamour like a classic red lip.
There are so many ways to wear a red lip, let's talk about the SEXIEST...
The vampy, dangerous mystery of the dark gradient lip.

To achieve this simple, sexy look, you will need a few things:

1) Your favorite RED lipstick (I use Ka'oir Red Roses or MAC Russian Red)
2) A Dark Lipliner (can be a brick red, brown, or dark purple, try the NYX lip pencil in Y2K )
3) Red or Clear Gloss
 4) Concealer (to perfect any mistakes and prevent bleeding)

Now Get SEXY!!

Start by moisturizing and exfoliating your lips.
I use the Edible Sugar Scrub from www.divastuff.com
You can use anything you have to get your lips prepped and ready for application!

Next, line your lips with the dark liner.

Go slow and accentuate the outside of the bottom lip to make it fuller and the cupids bow for shape.
Fill in the outer corners and about 2/3 of the lip leaving the center open.
(Optional:: fill the remainder of the lips in with a bright red liner to act as a base for the lipstick)

Now apply your favorite red lipstick to the center of the lips where you did not fill in with the red liner.
Go into the line just a bit to blend.

Finally, apply gloss to cupids bow and center of the bottom lip, and blot lips together.
Be careful to only blot (not rub)  the lips a few times to get the colors to blend together, creating a gradient effect.

Now look in the mirror and fix any mistakes on the outside of your lip with concealer.

HOW TO WEAR THIS LIP::
Nude Eye w/ BOLD Lashes, Classic Pinup, Dark Smokey, Jeweltone bottom liner

Give yourself the Diva Face in the mirror and You are Ready to WERK Honey!

MAC Viva La Glam Nicki ... Sexy Barbie Lips

Viva La Glam Nicki !!!

I love MAC Viva La Glam lipsticks because 100% of the proceeds go directly to the MAC AIDS Fund.

I recently became addicted to MAC lipsticks, their formulas and color selections are AMAZING.

While building my collection I really wanted to support the MAC AIDS Fund and was looking for my first Viva La Glam...

So naturally I chose the delicious pink creation by Nicki Minaj.

It is not a color I would wear unless I am wearing a full face of makeup because it is so bright I feel the need to balance everything out.

BUT when my face is painted, this color is EVERYTHING!!!!

My husband really loved this color on me.
His reaction when he saw me finish my lips was like Pepe LePew! LOL!

I recommend wearing this with a liner, although it is a Satin finish it is very creamy formula and we don't want it to get messy.
You can also try different lip liners to create the a custom look for your features and skin tone.

This lipstick is for the BOLD. It is described on the MAC website as a "bright yellow pink". It's like a super bright almost neon Barbie in the Summ
er pink.

I think this is HOT for Spring, Summer, and Special Occasions.

If you're wondering what eye looks to try with this lipstick, as with any lipstick, try and do  each of the basics and find your signature look:

Neutral, Pinup, Smokey, Pop of Color

Post your favorite Viva La Glam Lipstick in the comment bar or tag me in your photos on instagram @ItsPonyBaby !!!

Confessions of a MAC Addict

Hello my delicious Little Ponies!

It is the first day of May and I have to confess....

I've had a bit of a obsession...a compulsion if you will, with lipsticks and lip products in general for quite sometime.
I've always been that girl with 4 or 5 lip-glosses in her purse, and buying one and losing another.

BUT  I've always been quite cheap about it.
I mean like if it's $3 it better be a damn good reason sort of cheap.

Because I lived by the $2 lip for so long, once I got into make up,  I couldn't imagine spending more than $5 for ANY lip product.

That was of course until I purchased my first lipsticks from www.Kaoir.com
. I'd been wanting them for a while; finally after purchasing a Loreal Colour Riche fell in love with it, I decided I'd go for something more pricey.

I LOVED my Ka'oir , the formula is creamy. The colors are bold and long lasting, I'm a huge fan of these lipsticks and the CEO Keyshia Dior is an inspiration for women everywhere.

After watching hundreds of makeup tutorials on YouTube I became obsessed with two colors from MAC. Myth and Candy Yum Yum... I HAD TO HAVE THEM!!!

Candy Yum Yum popped my MAC lipstick cherry, and my husband loved it.
He says it's his favorite lip that I wear EVER.
Which makes me feel like a doll ! (^_^)

I then ordered Myth and Smoked Purple, my nude lip and my goth lip. Ugh I LIVE forever....

Then I took a break for a couple of weeks....

Looking through my spring wardrobe of mint and coral, I became obsessed with the coral and orange colors.
I looked in my kit and realized that I have blue, purples, pinks, browns, reds...golds..but nothing remotely coralish...

I tried to ignore it...

I was doing quite well until I caught another bug, the light, sexy, glossy, pink lip bug...
I searched and searched until I came across a color I couldn't resist....

Plink... a Lustre finished soft, kissable, sexy pink. The perfect compliment to any Victoria's Secret inspired look.
Everytime I saw Plink on a girl's lips I had fashgasms.
I put her in the cart, and I hit checkout.

Still fighting my addiction, and desire for a collection of Corals... I relapsed and bought 4 AMAZING lipsticks from Milani, Revlon, and L'Oreal. From that binge I recovered 2 corals, a pearl pink, and a violet that is so kick ass!
(I'll post about those later)

But my craving for the black box still haunted me in my sleep...it wasn't enough. I NEEDED that FIX...
I couldn't hold out...in the middle of the night I purchased Nicki Minaj's Viva La Glam I (I couldn't do the lavender, it's just...NO.) and I got Russian Red because Helloooo No MAC Mini Lipstick Collection isn't complete without a classic red!

After I completed  my MAC Online purchase, I felt good.

I slept well for the last two nights...

And then, Leah Michelle tagged me in a post about the release of Rhi Rhi Red.
